Our SC mild winters allow plenty of time in December and January for strolling in Magnolia Gardens - a delightful place in any season - and I painted this from a photo I took on one such excursion to use as Christmas cards that season. The original is 7x8, but the addition of the double mat and beautiful frame makes it a framed size of 15x17. The frame was chosen to pick up the effect of texture of peacock feathers, since they are abundant fowl at Magnolia Gardens.
The Long White Bridge at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens which was severely damaged by a falling maple tree on July 7, 2020. Since then, it has been undergoing repairs and reconstruction.

Thank you so much, Michael. I still have the original and love to pull it out of inventory during the holidays, enjoying it before it finds a forever home. Isn't it wonderful how much of ourselves goes into our creations? I'll check on your work, too. Have a terrific day!
