Pamela Poole, Inspiring Southern Ambiance
Pamela lavishes her love of living in the South into her subject matter as an artist and author, inspiring her to categorize her work as "Southern Ambiance." Through her recent YouTube videos, viewers can "meet" her and get a first-hand look behind the scenes of creative living.
Her first few years of life were spent in Charleston, South Carolina, where she later returned for a few more years in which the Low Country and the SC coast became her creative muse. Living in the Carolinas most of her life has surrounded the artist with wonderful landscapes, a temperate climate, and the traditional charm of a place where good manners and faith matter. She believes that art and stories are only worthwhile when they are filled with beauty and hope that survive in spite of all life's challenges. She believes the traditional mindset that art is meaningful when it has beauty and is understandable to any viewer. Whether using pastels, acrylic, or watercolor, she creates paintings with timeless compositions that are universally appealing.
Pamela's "Painter Place Saga" is a blend of roles as an artist and a writer. Her paintings "Tall Ships and Sunflowers" and "Survivors" were chosen by the publisher as cover art. Tidbits about the life of an artist and the basic elements of art are woven as a thread throughout the stories, and portrays creative expression as a gift that can be used to contribute to the world in positive ways. In the 2nd book in the series, "Hugo," the main character takes a thoughtful look at the life of artist Vincent van Gogh and his work in Arles, France. Her painting "Vincent the Painter in Arles" is inspired by the research she did while writing "Hugo." Her work is featured in the Youtube book trailers for both "Painter Place" and "Hugo."

She served as past President of the Summerville Artist Guild near Charleston, SC, and was featured as Local Artist of the Week on 2/12/09 in The Post and Courier.

"Nothing I can ever do in this life, no relationship I have here, and nothing I can study and teach to anyone would have any meaning apart from my salvation and faith in Jesus Christ. My joy in Him and sharing His love with others keeps my perspective on doing it all for His glory." --Ephesians 3:20, 21
