This painting is so much like the definition for "idyllic"-- "serenely beautiful and happy: serenely beautiful, untroubled, and happy". I began this painting plein air at the JC Raulston Arboretum on the campus of NC State University in Raleigh, then finished in the studio due to time constraints and because the frog had jumped off the lilypad before I could work on his part of the painting. So glad he posed for me in photos! This painting is in a wide gold frame. Shipping is included in the price.
