On a beautiful spring day in Aiken, SC, I gathered with some Aiken Aritst Guild members in Hopelands Gardens to paint plein air. We all chose different scenes looking out from one central location by the water and bridge, and I settled on the gazebo. It has such neat architecture, with the roof of bronze/copper wrought work. The strong shadows made the columns look almost like they were not stationary but were dancing a little!
